A U.S. Grade I winner by iconic sire Danzig, Glencrest-bred MILITARY is from the prominent sire-producing family of Rahy, Saint Ballado and Singspiel.
From relatively small numbers, MILITARY has achieved marked success, siring 14 stakes horses (eight stakes winners), including six two-year-old stakes horses (four stakes winners).
Best known of his progeny are Grade I winner Gun Salute ($829,058)) dirt and turf stakes winner Beau Dare ($425,745), multiple stakes winner Turfiste, and 11 3/4-length juvenile stakes winner Blastitory.
And as Bill Oppenheim noted in the Thoroughbred Daily News, “MILITARY has averaged only 22 foals in first five crops - But he still ranks above 1.50 in all major categories, and, especially with a 2.43 two-year-old index, he still looks a really good option if you're looking for a son of Danzig.”
MILITARY's APEX Rating for 2YOs is 2.35, higher than Malibu Moon, Unbridled's Song, Distorted Humor, Street Cry, Pulpit, Sky Mesa, Indian Charlie, Forestry, and More Than Ready.
