Prior to the 1960 Kentucky Derby win by Glencrest bred VENETIAN WAY, John Greathouse had
been studying the trade of Thoroughbred breeding for nearly 20 years.His knowledge was passed
down to his sons and they have continued the tradition, having bred Kentucky Oaks winner PIKE
PLACE DANCER and numerous other stakes winners, they remain committed to breeding and
raising Thoroughbreds for the commercial market.
